ABSTRACT
Usama, 2025, "The Implementation of Arabic-Language Films as a Learning
Medium to Improve the Ability to Construct Arabic Sentences among Grade
XII Students of Boarding School Attibyan Taddette, Luwu". Undergraduate

This study is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) employing the Kemmis and
McTaggart model, aimed at improving students’ ability to construct sentences in
Arabic through the use of Arabic-language films as a learning medium. The
research subjects were 12 grade XII students of Madrasah Aliyah Attibyan
Taddette. The study was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of four
meetings—three for learning activities and one for evaluation testing.
Data collection methods included observation, tests, and documentation. The data
were analyzed qualitatively to describe the learning process and quantitatively to
calculate the percentage of students’ mastery learning.
The results showed a significant improvement from the first to the second cycle. In
the first cycle, only 16.7% of students achieved mastery learning, while 83.3% had
not yet achieved it. In the second cycle, all students (100%) achieved mastery. This
improvement indicates that the use of Arabic-language films is effective in helping
students understand the material and improve their skills in constructing Arabic
sentences. Therefore, Arabic-language films are worth adopting as a creative, inte
ractive, and effective learning medium.
